The Cabildo and the Civil Guard they will collaborate to reinforce the security in the tourist zones and rural and natural parks of Tenerife. The president of the Cabildo, Carlos Alonso, and the new chief general of the Civil Guard of the Canary Islands, Juan Miguel Arribas, met recently at the Insular Palace to discuss the details of the agreement.
The collaboration between both entities will serve to continue providing a secure environment in the places of greatest tourist influx and reinforce the planned actions in terms of security and civil protection in these enclaves.
The Cabildo, through the Area of tourism, will contribute an amount of 200,000 euros that will be used to defray expenses derived from the purchase of diverse material and equipment such as vehicles, defibrillators, mountain rescue material, cameras and drones that will be used in the surveillance of areas heavily traveled by tourists.
