The Armenian town of Las Galletas has been filled with animation, colors and visitors during the day. Throughout the day, thousands of people have been able to enjoy the activities developed around the seventh edition of the festival Arona in Colors, organized by the Department of Economic Promotion of the City Council with the participation of the areas of Culture, Youth, Holidays, Tourism , Sports and Heritage, as well as the Cabildo de Tenerife through the strategy Tenerife 2030 and INtech Tenerife.
Arona en Colores was born as a bet by the City Council to publicize and boost one of the most interesting commercial areas of the municipality, filling all its corners with intense animation and looking for fun and the participation of the whole family, which has made it one of the relevant festivals of the Southern Region.
Up to twelve locations of various activities have been deployed by Las Galletas with the intention of reaching all audiences, from the Dionisio González ravine to the sports pavilion, passing through the Marina del Sur and Los Barcos beach, as well as the streets Galván Bello, Belgium, Venezuela, Founders, San Claudio and Varadero and the pedestrian routes.
In them it has been possible to enjoy dance performances and musicals, intervention of DJ, shows aimed at children -such as clowns, storytellers or puppets-, fashion catwalk, sports practice and exhibitions, as well as robotics, makeup and graffiti workshops or the skating tournament.
In addition to these activities, solidarity causes have also been present, with the intervention of NGOs and associations, such as Ámate or Carrera por la Vida.
Participants in this edition of Arona in Colors have also benefited from various discounts and promotions, as well as specific competitions.
The mayor of Arona, José Julián Mena, stressed "the importance of supporting from the City Council the shops of all the towns, generating activities and revitalization such as Arona in Colors, which brings together thousands of people for a whole day in a core with a business fabric as important as Las Galletas. "
For its part, the Councilor for Economic Promotion, Dácil León, stressed the importance that "Arona in colors has been consolidated and has grown as one of the most important promotion and dynamization bets in the entire Southern Region, putting in value one of the most important commercial areas that the municipality has, such as Las Galletas. "
