A score of young people from the municipality of Arona has completed a training action focused on first aid, rescue and aquatic life support, organized by the area of Youth of the City Council, which runs the councilor Yolanda Mendoza and has been carried out from 16 to 21 of April.
Framed between the Cultural Center of Los Cristianos and the municipal pool of the sports complex Jesús Domínguez "Grillo", this action has been aimed at people between 16 and 35 years old and allows participants to obtain a certificate that complements their curriculum and improves their employability and its ability to access the labor market.
Under the title "First aid, rescue and aquatic life support", this program is part of "the strategy that, from the area of Youth, we have been developing for three years to develop the potentials and capacities of our young people so that they have greater guarantees at the time to enter the labor market, "explained Yolanda Mendoza.
The mayor of Arona, José Julián Mena, recalled that "young people are the group most punished by unemployment, so for us it is a priority to work, working transversally from different areas so that they have a better chance of finding a job, a employment that must be of quality ".
The action "First aid, rescue and aquatic lifeguard" has been developed between April 16 and 21 from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm from Monday to Friday and from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm on Saturdays with a total duration of 30 hours, in face-to-face modality and with two parts, one theoretical and the other practical.
