14 Jun Los Cristianos, the jazz capital of Tenerife
The city of Los Cristianos will become tomorrow and until next Saturday in the capital of jazz of Tenerife, hosting a total of thirteen concerts, several master classes and workshops that make up the offer of the Red Jazz Festival, an activity that fits the RNA Festival Urban Culture, unavoidable appointment with culture during the month of April in the municipality of Arona and that is organized transversely by the municipal areas of Economic Promotion, Heritage, Youth and Tourism.
Located in the square of La Pescadora, outdoors and free of charge, this event aims not only to commercially activate one of the main tourist centers of Arona, but also to offer neighbors and visitors a program of public entertainment that integrates the traditional product of sun and beach.
The Red Jazz Festival, which this year celebrates its third edition, will begin tomorrow, Thursday 19 April, at 8.00 pm, there will be a total of 13 concerts with different styles, such as swing, acid jazz, funk, smooth jazz, blues, flamenco jazz, bossa nova and fusion. In addition to concerts, there will be dance workshops, music therapy and singing and saxophone masterclasses, stringed instruments and percussion.
The initiative is organized by the Cultural Association for the Dissemination of Arts and Music of the Canary Islands, the Cultural Association Telurrica and the municipal council of Arona, with the collaboration of the Carrera Foundation, Por La Vida and AMAE Los Cristianos, among others .
The festival was conceived as a means to consolidate the extreme and diversified musical talent available in Tenerife, offering it to residents and visitors. The medium-term goal is to transform the south of Tenerife into the European jazz capital.
