Arona, as an entity committed to the implementation of public policies on gender equality, joins this initiative whose objective is to address different issues related to feminism and gender equality, to raise concerns and improve the sensitivity of citizens towards equal opportunities between women and men.

The cinema – forums cycle will take place in all the municipalities of the island, with the screening in Arona, on Monday, June 11 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chasna hall of the Los Cristianos Cultural Center, where the film will be screened. The Councilor for Social Services, Elena Cabello Moya, supports this type of proposal and highlights the importance of cooperation and collaboration between the different Public Administrations in applying the principle of equal treatment and opportunities between women and men. Likewise, it invites the citizens to participate actively in the realization of proposals on topics of interest linked to gender inequalities about which they would like to be informed and trained.

The activity, free of charge, is aimed at people over 18 years. It requires previous registration since the capacity is limited and can be done through the following link or by calling 010 within the municipality or 922 76 16 00 if you contact from outside the municipality.

The mayor stressed his interest in continuing with this type of collaboration with other institutions, thus promoting joint work to work on equal rights, treatment and opportunities for citizens.
